Revolution is in the Stars…!

Well, it is certainly in the Planets!

The Transit of Venus on 5-6 June 2012 was a beautiful, rare event. It is made even more special because this particular Venus transit happened just after the June 4 Lunar Eclipse….

We only get two transits of Venus about every 120 years, and they come in pairs, 8 years apart. The last transit of Venus was in 2004, and the next one will be in 2117. This year, Venus passed across the face of the Sun and appeared as a clear black dot.

So, what does this mean?

Venus represents Divine feminine energy, Love, creativity, compassion and communication.

The Sun is the source of life energy. It gives light literally and figuratively, and with its light comes power.

Together, Venus and the Sun coming face to face is a huge cosmic event.

What do They Mean Together?

Benevolent power and balance.

As we push forward and create en masse more fear than ever before, characterised by war, failing economies and even the weather system (it’s all about energy!) these two powerful planets signify change. By redressing the imbalances that threaten our peaceful existence, the Giver of Life (the Sun) and Love Energy (Venus) combine to create the next Revolution

How? Let’s look at what happened before in the previous century’s Venus Transits. [below research attributed mainly to the astrologer Alison Chester-Lambert]

From 1631 to 1639

A new world view was emerging, beginning with Galileo’s insistence that the Earth was not the centre of the Universe, the Sun was.

Another influence was Rene Descartes who brought order to thought and something of a revolution in the intellectual life of Western man.

The Catholic Church remained powerful, but was challenged.

A new generation of communicating European scientists were making nonsense of theories that had been rock solid for generations with microscopes and other inventions. They sought answers to motion and dynamics; things that had been unquestioned because they were holy and under God’s control.

Power was shifting.….

From 1761 to 1769

After a spectacular year of military successes in 1759, Britain signed peace treaties with France and Spain in 1763. Britain was now the dominant power in North America.

However, the American Revolution started brewing at this time and the Anglican Church was ousted in 1761.

Exploration for the achievement of scientific knowledge began with Captain Cook’s mission to Tahiti. He makes an unprecedented contribution to the knowledge of the Pacific.

An Industrial Revolution occurred in Britain and the first of the mills, factories and canals were opened.

From 1874 to 1882

There were huge leaps in technology, electricity for public use and the telephone, light bulb and recording equipment were all invented.

This was a revolution in communication (Venus is also the planet of communication)

So, what did these three periods have in common?

A common feature is exploration and the seeking of scientific knowledge, which is interesting, since it is very apparent that we are in the middle of huge advancements in scientific exploration now!

Captain Cook’s expeditions, with their painstaking recording of information on species marked a leap forward in the history of human inquisitiveness and acquisition of knowledge.

The most common theme is revolution!

In the 17th century it was about scientific revolution which the Catholic Church could no longer contain.

In the 18th century it was about an industrial revolution in Britain (a dominant world super-power) and the preludes to a government revolution in America (to get rid of the afore-mentioned dominant world super-power.)

In the 19th century a technological/electrical and communication revolution began.

Venus transits always occur in Gemini and Sagittarius alternately – an axis that is all about exploration and the gathering of knowledge for books in an effort to gain gnosis and superior understanding. Religion and spiritual questioning is associated with the sign of Sagittarius and each of the eras has some notable milestones concerning issues of faith.

It looks like we are heading for a Spiritual Revolution!

THIS is so important!

A spiritual revolution is about getting back to our individual essence WHILE recognising that we are all part of one energy source (whether you call this God, Spirit, Source, Life Force…)

How? A core element in embracing this revolution is forgiveness – forgiving those whom you perceive to have done you wrong. Then we can come back to ourselves and each other. Alongside this, we must finally release the need for reward and recognition. The fear and doubt that accompany both of these desires can be debilitating. Forgoing these needs results in a relaxed spirit and expanded life. Money comes, but not by focusing on it. You are respected, but do not require this respect.

And so, we enter a new paradigm.

In this paradigm, we don’t need monetary affirmations or intense focus on visibility in our business. In this paradigm, ‘all we need is love’ and to know ourselves, more deeply than we ever before thought possible…

With love,

~ If this has resonated with you, I would like to hear from you. I am working with a very small number of clients who connect with this new paradigm and are starting to understand that success in business, as in life, is about what we know, not what we see. The truth lies just beyond most of us, only fear prevents us from seeing it ~

How to align yourself with ‘more’

Extract from audio masterclass Create a Revolution Through Your Business (available at

I know there are people on this call who have very successful businesses here and now. Six- and even seven-figure businesses.

Isn’t it fantastic that there is always ‘more’?

I’ve told you something about my own personal evolution out of employment. This might be a tale in itself but a new story began the day I set up my own business and again the day I got my first private client, my first group programme, mentored my first true pioneer in business – you fill in your own here.

And as you grow continually, a deeper understanding of the concept of ‘more’ arises within you.

One of my main motivators to present this class was to offer new ways of looking at your own business. Isn’t it true that when you begin every new phase of your entrepreneurial journey, whether as a start-up or a millionaire your focus is on ‘selling’, whether you like that word or not – so, getting more clients, or more revenue from your product or more income from each product and service to in turn make you more money?

We read a lot, we hear a lot about focusing in on the financials to ‘feed’ you and your business; and what happens?

The summary effect is that you start living outside of yourself. In the place where fear and doubts reside. Questions pop up, instead of solutions or actions, like “what if…?”

“What if I don’t make the money?”

“What if I can’t get the clients / I don’t up-level / my reputation suffers….?”

Right now I’m talking to you the person, not to your business revenue, not to your bank balance. I am talking to the unlimited potential within you.

The start-up and the millionaire entrepreneur are the same – each wants to step up to the next level.

Here’s another what if… What if the only difference between the millionaire entrepreneur and the start-up entrepreneur is that he did not get in his own way? (or she)

What I am talking about here is alignment. The alignment that happens when you’re free from distractions; some might say, free from earthly concerns. We are all very aware of the negative side of more.

The more that comes from fear, from comparing ourselves to others and from a lack of self-belief. If you are aligned with your deeper purpose, or some might say, higher purpose AND focus on this, your natural desire for ‘more’ joyfully switches – it becomes something completely different, with a different and new energy so a different and new result. This is a switch-up that is worth taking time over, practising, securing the right support for. Because this is not the common way. As a concept, it may not be news to you, but are you really, truly living it? I will talk more about being tough with the truth a little later.

Here’s a nice gentle example of what I mean by this different, aligned focus on ‘more’. Personally I thrive in the sunshine. Living in the UK this can be limited. As I stepped into the understanding I explained above, I realised that, just like I thought there was no other way than to be employed, I also thought that spending most of my time in grey weather was the only way!

The ‘more’ that I was after was more sunshine. So I now regularly work in Spain and France. Sounds simple. And, just like the story I told you of leaving my job, it wasn’t the UK that I was escaping, it was my belief that I had to be here!!

The truth is, I can’t think of an example where an aligned ‘more’ will not segue into being more than provided for in life anyway…! My work in the sunshine for example leads to increased creativity, which leads to my increased attraction point to potential clients which leads to more money to provide for, WELL, more sun if that’s where my desire lies!! Imagine going to the sun for a VIP Business Intensive…..?! Are you seeing what I mean now! How much more productive are my CLIENTS… Being aligned is a win-win.

The point is, as I think you’ll see, by being aligned ‘more’ just appears. If you focus on worry, on lack, on fear, you are NOT aligned and you compromise your ability to attract the specific ‘more’ that you desire AND which frankly you need when you are stirring up a revolution through your business!

With love,

The Modern-Day Pioneer – Are you a Revolutionary?

We inhabit a world where it might feel like there can be nothing new to discover, have, do or think, because it has all been done before; where progress seems to move at a million miles an hour. Fifty years ago (even forty) there were no PCs, no mobile phones, no internet. It’s hard to believe.

We can be excused therefore for finding it difficult for our one single humble human brain to hold the belief that we have the ability to create something new – after all, what more could there be…?!

And then we remember Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, the Dalai Lama.

The Dalai Lama?
Technological innovation has long been seen as the pinnacle of progress, how we plot our worldly success and development. Leaders in this field have been our thought leaders too.

But now, we have flowed beautifully into a dawning and rising age of Thought Evolution – Mind-set and Quality-of-Life Evolution. We have moved into an era of Human Pioneering or maybe Humanitarian Pioneering. In people like Tony Robbins, Oprah Winfrey, Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer x x we are now seeing Pioneers of the Mind – as attention turns away from technology, as a headliner, and towards the human condition, state of mind, consciousness and health (mental, physical, emotional AND spiritual). Did you know for example that the Health & Well-Being industry is the largest growth area by a mile right now?

We don’t have to agree with their teaching, just that they contribute to a whole body of work that contributes to global growth and development in a whole new way. New age philosophers perhaps. They stretch our comprehension of self AND, more importantly our belief IN self.

Herein lies a Revolution all of its own.

Are you bubbling under with your own revolutionary spirit?

If so, here are some key points to remember:

  • There is always MORE – the universe is infinite
  • There is always something new – the potential for creation is infinite
  • It is always one man/woman’s seed of an idea or a belief where revolution begins. Always. This then gathers momentum if it is allowed to grow within that person (you have to give yourself permission!) it will then be too big to contain, so must be shared, gathering a team, then followers.

BUT remember this – you are a leader before you have even one follower if you BELIEVE in your own idea…

  • Your lack of belief in your idea for positive change could be the only thing stopping you from pioneering with YOUR thought to make the change in the world that you desire

  • Gandhi was one person. Bill Gates, Mother Teresa, Mark Zuckerberg, Anita Roddick (very interesting woman – much more than just the Body Shop – look her up!) are/were all ONE person.

What separates you from them?

Each person has equal human potential, no matter what your circumstance, upbringing or current beliefs.

What may separate you (so far!) is passion, self-belief and courage.

Gandhi proves that money, power and influence are not the starting point! But, they were produced as a result… regardless of the fact that he did not accept them.

Do you think that the pioneers of previous centuries felt any differently? Did they have any more or less opportunity? Were they more, or less facilitated by the human potential available to them?

Let’s look at this.

So, they had ‘less’ overall accumulated knowledge and technology; speed of development was of course very slow compared with the connection we have today.

But they did not know this!

And isn’t it true that they had just the same access to self-belief? Just the same propensity to fear and doubt?

Your ‘spot’ has not been taken. What you produce in the world is inherently unique. Gather together the most important tools of revolution – COURAGE, faith, belief, passion, trust, support – and take action every day. There is no such thing as failure when you don’t stop until you succeed.

With love,

The Importance of Awareness & Perception in the Attraction Process

If you in any way understand how our thoughts create our reality and how our thoughts and feelings bring corresponding situations into our lives, you are consciously playing a part in the Attraction Process.

Now, of course, someone without this understanding is still a player in the attraction game, but unconsciously. It is he or she who will be wondering why his or her life is not working out quite as desired, and continues to complain about it and… the cycle continues!

So, what is it that an unconscious creator plays out in their modus operandum for life? Well, for one thing, lack of AWARENESS.

Now at this point, I hasten to point out that there is no blame attached here (for one thing, I was an unconscious creator for a long time, and if I were to judge myself for it now, I would still be creating negative things in my life!) In fact, I would say compassion and potentially excitement are the main emotions here – compassion towards someone who, like me not so long ago, can’t understand why undesirable things keep happening in his/her life; and excitement at the prospect of someone making the delicious discovery that they can create their life exactly as they desire it!

The truth is that even as conscious creators, we absolutely can improve our awareness (and I am not talking about self-awareness here – that is a whole other article!)

Watch out for what is happening!

When something good happens to you, how often do you track it back to where it was first created? And even, do we ever take time to properly notice the events in our lives? (or are we too busy getting caught up in what comes next to be present in each moment?)

Through awareness – being alert and alive to the changing circumstancesin your life – you are actually given continued learning, tools even, on how you can then go ahead and create the next gorgeous thing in your life!

Let me give you a very simple example:

Early last year, before I met my current partner (a whole other story of creation!) I had been very clear with myself, my journal, my flip-chart, my coach and anyone else who would listen, that I wanted, soon, in my life, a gardener, a chef, a housekeeper and a PA. The chef was the most important – I was becoming so aware of how what I ate, affected my energy, which affected my mood, my work, my business, my income – you get the idea! I set the intention and let it go, and carried on with life.

My now partner, Damian walked through my front door that summer as a VIP client and a week later we were an item. He is an ex-chef. He now does all the ‘food things’ in our house – from shopping, through planning, to cooking (and eating!) He loves it! It is only this week that the penny dropped – I had deeply desired someone in my life to plan and cook healthy meals for me so that I would never have to worry about it again… And here he was! Just not as expected.

This illustrates how easy it is to miss something! Again, no blame against myself here, but realising that I HAD created something (that it was not by accident – oh how often we dismiss things as circumstance!) helps me fine tune by creative prowess! So much fun!

And of course, don’t forget the gratitude piece

I did for a time, and as a result by not appreciating it, I was at risk of not maintaining the height of that creative energy for my future creations!

As well to be fully aware of your life as it beautifully unfolds, you also have a responsibility to make a wise choice as to how you perceive each creation in your life (note I do not say ‘circumstances’ for that would be to imply that you are a passive member of the universe, and that is not so).

Make a conscious choice as to how you see things

PERCEPTION is in the eye of the beholder…

How often have you considered that you could actually, with just a small amount of effort, see things differently?

Let me illustrate again.

My entrepreneurial journeyhas been peppered with taking risks and making leaps. At one point, I literally sold possessions to be able to invest in my personal and business development. (Yes, I really meant it! I had a purpose to fulfil and then, as now, nothing would stop me). It would have been so easy to be in thoughts of regret and feelings of loss, especially as some things were worth considerably less their original price. Instead, I chose to see the money coming in as a fabulous gain – I was positively excited!

I decided (for it is always a choice) to offer great gratitude that I had something to sell in the first place, rather thanblame myself for having spent money on it in the first place ‘which I could have used now for x, y,z …

There is no more important time than when you are attracting your desires into your life (which is always!) to be a glass-half-full person.

Try using the philosophy that as a woman you might use when Sale shopping! You know what I am talking about – when you buy something you don’t need, and you applaud yourself for the saving, therefore gain in money, you have made! Your partner however may well only be looking at the overall ‘loss’ incurred in buying the dress/shoes/handbag. YOU know of course that the feeling of having gained is GOOD! It feels good, therefore it creates more good stuff, and so the energy flows forward.

By being fully aware and choosing your positive perception, you accelerate the attraction of what you choose for your life, into your life.

Your life is then more joyful, and full of ease and healthy creation!

Remember this!

‘Miracles’ do happen we just don’t perceive them as such because, of course, they happen in an earthly way!

“I intend to see; I expect to see, no matter who I am with, no matter where I am, no matter what I am doing, I intend to see that which I want to see”

You are who you hang out with!

Napoleon Hill – “Men take on the nature and the habits and the power of thought of those with whom they associate in the spirit of sympathy and harmony”Think & Grow Rich

Networking has become the dark corner for so many women in business. It’s time to shine some light, find your tribe and strut your STUFF!

4 easy questions to ask yourself to help you get out there and find your people

–          Do I stay or do I go? – to network or not to network….

So, you don’t like networking?

Do you stay at home and satisfy yourself that social networking behind your computer screen is just as good?

The truth is, it isn’t! When you stay at home / in the office, you restrict your growth and prevent yourself from building relationships that will really help your business. NOT getting out there and communicating person-to-person serves you only by feeding your mind with negative beliefs about yourself (I am not good enough, I can’t network, no-one wants to listen to me) – guess what, it is all in your head!  When you do get out there, persist and take some good advice on how to make the most of your experience (read on!)

–          What and who inspires me?

What DO you like doing? Perhaps you love having the best coffee in town, or exploring a place you’ve not visited before – look for a meet that might fulfil this for you, and experiment!

What beliefs do you have that spur you ON?

That belief in community or collaboration or even fun that you have? Dust off those beliefs, re-engage with them and make those your joyful focus while meeting new people!

WHO are your mentors, go-to people for inspiration, famous people you admire?

Find out where they are speaking or holding events, and GO there!

And when they are not around, place yourself in their shoes (buy a pair just like them if you have to!) and breathe in the powerful knowledge that if they can inspire you, you too can inspire others – it is within us all.

What makes you laugh?

Take your sense of humour with you!

–          Where am I AT right now?

Are you an entrepreneur in a big learning phase?

Whether you are just starting or up-levelling, step up, invest in a quality networking meeting and absorb the higher frequency of the people who are at YOUR next level

Are you working for someone else?

You can still make it fun, don’t be afraid to look at personal development aims as well as aims of the business you are working in – guess what, if you are more light-hearted and having more fun, you’re so much more likely to achieve the business goals you’ve been set anyway.

Have you never been to a networking meeting before?

Enjoy it! You will never have your first time again! Take some of these tips here with you, stay present and get collecting those business cards (read further on for more info on this)

–          What is my ‘mind-set smile’?

Get yourself your own personal mind-trick!! If you find yourself getting too caught up in the outcomes you want to achieve, stuck in your own head, STEP OUT of it. Either move (best place to go is outside for some fresh air), or refer to your mind-set smile

This could be a picture of your child laughing, your dog playing, something more personal that I cannot write here ;o)

And, breathe!

4 essential tips to making the most of your networking experience

(even when you have to force yourself just to get there!)

–          LISTEN

Of course! Yet, I have had so many ‘conversations’ with people who just talk. I remember a time when that was me too! I let my passion for what I did block out any meaningful interaction. Listen. Really listen. Deeply listen. Be present to what that person is saying, not to your thoughts about what they are saying OR your thoughts on what you are about to say! This last piece is especially distracting, so learn to avoid it.

If you have a deep and meaningful conversation with just one person, how much more creative and fulfilling is that than if you had stayed away?

Remember this, for someone to be interested in what you are offering them, whether today, next week or next year, you have to first be interested in them.

–          Ask questions

This might sound obvious, but I have been to so many networking events where I am talked at or if yes I am listened to, there are no questions forthcoming. How does this feel when it happens to you? For me, it gives me the unsettled feeling that I’m actually not being listened to after all! Throw in some unusual ones too – you can be really creative with this (depending on your brand, business etc), but these can make you stand out and put your most interesting side forward.

Questions like – if you weren’t doing x what would you be doing? What did you want to do as a child? When was your best, most fun networking experience? Who really inspires you? Do you enjoy networking? (!)

Another good idea is to throw in some of your own market research questions too. If you are about to launch a new product or service, people will always appreciate that you value their opinion AND it is a great way to open a dialogue that can lead to other things, like promoting you, JVs, even that person becoming a client of course.

–          Collect business-cards

If this is your one and only outcome, you’ve picked a good one! Find out all about them, take a business card and offer to send them your monthly newsletter.

Taking the focus away from your own business card really helps you take the focus off yourself… “Why is that a good thing?” have you ever had that self-conscious feeling when networking? The one that turns into self-judgement and self-criticism? So, make it NOT about you. And THEN you’ll be in the flow…….

–          Make it about them not you

OK, so listening and asking questions can just about achieve this. But, if you get into your heart, set the intention to feel connected to the person you are talking with, you and they will really feel the difference…… AND if it feels completely misaligned, politely move on to the next person – your time is very valuable, be present to how you can make best use of it.

Detach from YOUR outcome and learn about theirs – it’s so much easier and so much more fun!

The 3 Gateways to Taking Action in your Coaching, Consulting or Creative Business
What holds you back from setting out to implement new ideas in your business?

What are your biggest blocks to getting going?

If you care about your business, value yourself and your clients and are aware that the actions you take really MATTER, you do not need to get stuck in the paralysis that these emotions can create.

Next time you find yourself in this position, take yourself through the AAA gateway and watch your resistance to getting started dissolve away!

A1) Alignment

If you are anything like me, who tends to move at 100mph because I am so passionate about what I do, you know how quickly you can get off track if you get started without considering properly where you are going!

Your destination however is only part of the story .

How you FEEL about where you are going is your true barometer.

Question –  Is where you intend to end up in 100% ALIGNMENT with who you are, what your business represents and your best intentions for yourself and your clients?

Yes, you really DO need to be aware of your values. The beauty of spending some time to examine what are your values for yourself and your business (and true alignment is when your personal and business values interconnect…) is that it is, at most, just a 3-6 monthly exercise, and at least, a once-in-a-lifetime task.

It is no use, for example, deciding that the client you most want to work with is the one based furthest from home if you most value spending time with your family. However, if you explore the truth of what motivates you and you value adventure, maybe seeking out new learning in a different culture is something you could be working towards.

Don’t kid yourself about what you truly want for yourself – it will only get in the way of achieving your business and personal goals.  Getting out of your comfort zone, whilst strongly encouraged in order to enable real and often rapid development, is not of service to you if it takes you to a place that is unaligned with your values.

Bonus Note: The most successful people I know have a mentor.

“Men take on the nature and the habits and the power of thought of those with whom they associate…” – Napoleon Hill Think & Grow Rich

Whose energy do you want to align yourself with?

A2) Acceptance

My clients often hear me telling them to “be tough with the truth”! Of course, I do it with loving intention, but my message is clear –

Now you are in alignment with your set intention, you must continue your congruent self-awareness by checking out your environment to see where you stand now in relation to where you want to be.

This is the important bit – don’t waste time and energy wishing you were in a different position, in relation to your goal, than you really are! As Dr Robert Holden said in his book on Happiness “In order to create your best future, you first have to give up all hope of creating a better past!”

ACCEPT where you are. Start where you are. It really is that simple.

Direct your thinking only forward – assess what resources you need, go about getting them and do not lament not already having them!

A helpful accelerator here is to spend some moments on Gratitude. High achievers in business can still be prone to spend time in the What-If Zone. What if (!) you were to use that space for a new Zone – a How-Great-Is-That?! Zone.  Even your past so-called failures have provided you with valuable learnings that are to be grateful for and experiences that inform a saved-hour here or a situation-to-avoided there.

Bonus Note: Be very careful to avoid comparison with others in your industry and whom you see as on the same road as you. Often, you will fall into the trap of making assumptions anyway – at the very best, any favourable assumptions could even cause you to take your foot off the accelerator.

A3)  Allowing

This is the real stinger for those who are straining at the starting blocks by now. Before you act, you must ‘do nothing’….

That’s right.

And Breathe!

ALLOWING yourself to move forward rather than ‘forcing it’ is a success mind-set that is a great habit to get into following naturally aligned (A1) decision-making and acceptance (A2) of where you are (“I am where I am, and it’s OK” – Abraham Hicks). The truth is, your aligned decision itself has already created an energy of its own – what you want to do from here is to enhance the manifestation potential not diminish it by blundering ahead for action’s sake alone.

But, if you go-getters out there need a To Do List, here’s a simple 123:

1)   Get the support you need and deserve – allow yourself to pay for someone else to do the things you prefer not to. Free up your time and energy for what you do and enjoy best.

2)   Stop ‘thinking’ and create the mental space that allows access to your powerful inner wisdom .

3)   Go outside, get moving – fresh air, exercise, dancing, singing! Move your body, be present and just notice the inspiration that enters into a clear, refreshed and joyful mind.

Bonus note: Imagination according to Napoleon Hill is “the workshop of the mind” – find your imaginative space. Spending time with children or doing child-like activities is a great way to do this.

So, for all those impatient entrepreneurs out there (and it takes one to know one) who are now thinking, “That is all very well, but how long will that little lot take me?!” – A LOT SHORTER TIME THAN IT WOULD TAKE TO BACK-TRACK AFTER HAVING RUSHED AHEAD IN THE WRONG DIRECTION!
